Alachua County Tax Collector – Downtown Branch (Appt Only)

Normally this place is great but I had an appointment scheduled this afternoon and rather than letting me know they are closed I had to drive all the way 9ut and find out waste of my time so now I have to reschedule and hopefully next time they are actually open.

Wonderful experience. Due to my circumstances, I urgently needed a first-time state-issued ID. I walked-in with no appointment and they were kind enough to accommodate me with 15-minutes waiting-time and around 15-minutes processing-time. The inside is clean, spacious, well-lit, lots of sitting space and no-crowd. All the staff I interacted with were very nice to me. Thank you, Taylor and Kyle!

Staff was quick and nice! Came in to change the address on my driver’s license and even though they stated everywhere that it was appointment only, they received me quickly as a walk-in and everything was taken care of within 15 min! 10/10 recommend.

Cory was a wonderful employee, at the 34th street location, that helped my sick mother in law with renewing her tag. She has made two previous appointments and could not make it because she was sick and this was the first time she had made it. Cory was pleasant, diligent and knowledgeable. He even went the extra mile to replace the license plate because it was overdue and was kind enough to meet us outside in the parking lot and screw the license plate on the car for us in the hot sun. We are very grateful for all his help, efficiency and etiquette. I tried to tip him but he wouldn’t accept. I can’t say enough good things about him. He was definitely a blessing.

Courteous, thoughtful and caring with a sense of urgency that borders on. the supersonic. In an age of mediocrity it was thrilling to see professionals enthusiastically embrace the the task at hand.
